He worked in a top-tier dispute resolution law firm, Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill (under the Energy, Infrastructure & Projects and International Arbitration Practice Group), prior to joining LPPLAW. Leong Chee Weng regularly represents clients in complex and high-value disputes in all levels of the Malaysian courts, Arbitration, Mediation and Adjudication under the Construction Industry Payment and Adjudication Act 2012. He is often engaged to review and draft various contracts and render practical and constructive advice to clients from both legal and commercial perspectives. - Advised and represented subsidiary of one of Malaysia’s leading conglomerates and listed company in an adjudication for the construction of the Light Rail Transit (LRT) Project which is valued at approximately RM16.63 billion for a claim of over RM49 million.
- Advised a Swiss based company on disputes concerning the Light Rail Transit (LRT) project.
- Advised and represented a Russian development company in disputes concerning a mixed development.
- Advised and represented a Chinese construction company in disputes concerning a mixed development where the total project size is estimated to be in excess of RM350 million.
- Advised the subsidiary of a Malaysia’s Fortune 500 oil and gas company in disputes relating to construction of fuel hydrant pipe- line in KLIA.
- Advised and represented one of the world largest palm oil processors, Mewah Group in the world in disputes relating to the supply of Crude Palm Oil.
