Naveen Sri Kantha is Partner of the Construction Dispute Resolution and Arbitration Practice Group of LPPLAW. Naveen is a legal practitioner with a specific focus in infrastructure, oil and gas, and energy disputes. He holds a LL.B (Hons.) degree from the University of Liverpool, U.K. and was admitted to the High Court of Malaya as an Advocate and Solicitor in 2018. Naveen regularly advises domestic and international clients, including property developers, foreign state-owned companies, contractors, and consultants on all aspects of infrastructure and oil and gas projects. Naveen often speaks at seminars and conferences on arbitration, CIPAA 2012 adjudication and construction law, involving prevalent issues relating to delay and disruption, time related costs, and project management.

- Advised a main contractor for an adjudication (CIPAA 2012) and AIAC Arbitration proceeding under Malaysian law arising from maintenance, construction, and modification works in Terengganu, Malaysia (Offshore and Onshore) for a total dispute sum of RM124 million.
- Advised an international UK based employer in an AIAC arbitration under Malaysian law proceeding under Malaysian law in relation to a dispute arising from the construction of a high-end condominium in Kuala Lumpur for a total dispute sum of RM25 million.
- Advised a main contractor for an adjudication (CIPAA 2012) and PAM arbitration proceeding under Malaysian law arising from the construction and development of a luxury mixed development in Johor Bahru, Malaysia for a total dispute sum of RM53 million.
- Advised an employer in relation to disputes concerning issues of termination, dispute avoidance and force majeure arising from a project for the production of EURO 4M gasoline under a refinery in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia.
- Advised a main contractor for ad hoc arbitration proceeding (UNCITRAL Rules) under Malaysian law for works relating to the construction of an educational institute in Tawau, Sabah, Malaysia for a total dispute sum of RM30 million.
- Advised a renowned international façade subcontractor at the High Court of Kuala Lumpur which involved injunctive reliefs to restrain the calling of a performance bond and various issues concerning unlawful determination for a total dispute sum of RM10 million.
- Advised an employer in a High Court proceeding against a sub-contractor which engaged legal issues on quantum meruit and unjust enrichment. This was a dispute arising from works relating to the construction of a mixed integrated development in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
- Advised a registered consortium involving a Malaysian contractor and a Chinese constructor on a retainer basis for project management during the lifecycle of the Project in Kuala Lumpur worth RM109 million.
