Lee & Poh Partnership (LPP Law) is pleased to announce the expansion of its partnership with the appointments of Rezan Ezra, Jagshey Pipariya and Tan Le Yu as Partners, alongside the promotion of Teong Xiao Yin to Partner.
These appointments reflect the firm’s continued strategic growth and commitment to strengthening its multidisciplinary capabilities across projects and infrastructure, disputes, property and insurance, corporate advisory, intellectual property, and real estate transactions.
Rezan Ezra joins the firm’s Projects, Infrastructure & Technology practice group. Admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of both the High Court of Malaya and the High Court of Sabah, Rezan brings experience across both contentious and non-contentious matters involving the plantation, oil & gas, renewable energy, construction, and technology sectors. Prior to joining LPP Law, he practised at Thomas Philip in Kuala Lumpur, where he developed a strong practice in corporate and commercial disputes and commercial arbitration. Rezan has also contributed to legal scholarship as co-author of the Atkins Court Forms & Commentaries (Construction Law). His appointment further strengthens the firm’s capabilities in infrastructure and energy-related matters, while also deepening the firm’s presence in East Malaysia.
Jagshey Pipariya joins the firm’s Strata, Property & Land Disputes and Insurance Law practice group. Dual-qualified in Malaysia and the United Kingdom, Jagshey brings extensive experience in litigation, arbitration, mediation, and adjudication, with a focus on strata and property disputes, insurance law, contractual litigation, and sports law. Prior to joining LPP Law, he practised at Thomas Philip before serving in Bursa Malaysia’s Regulation Department, where he gained valuable regulatory and industry insight. Jagshey is also actively involved in sports law and governance through his roles with the Anti-Doping Agency of Malaysia (ADAMAS), the Malaysian Football League and the Sports Law Association of Malaysia (SLAM). His appointment enhances the firm’s disputes and regulatory capabilities across a broad range of sectors.
Tan Le Yu joins the firm’s Corporate, Commercial & Intellectual Property practice group. Her practice encompasses a broad range of non-contentious commercial and transactional matters, including corporate governance, commercial advisory, intellectual property, franchising and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining LPP Law, Le Yu practised at reputable Malaysian law firms and also served as in-house legal counsel within a leading consumer-focused organisation in Malaysia. Her combined in-house and private practice experience brings a commercially grounded and practical approach to client advisory work. Her appointment also reflects the firm’s strategic focus on strengthening its intellectual property and corporate advisory offerings.
In addition, the firm is proud to announce the promotion of Teong Xiao Yin to Partner. Xiao Yin is a key member of the firm’s Corporate, Commercial & Real Estate practice, advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, corporate structuring, and real estate transactions. With additional experience in litigation matters, she brings a well-rounded perspective that combines legal risk management with practical commercial insight. Her promotion recognises her strong technical capabilities, professionalism, commitment to client service, and significant contributions to the firm’s continued growth.
Commenting on the appointments and promotion, the firm’s leadership noted that these developments represent an important milestone in LPP Law’s continued expansion and long-term vision of building a dynamic, multidisciplinary partnership capable of supporting clients across a wide range of industries and increasingly complex legal and commercial environments.
With these additions to the partnership, LPP Law continues to strengthen its position as a growing full-service law firm committed to delivering practical, commercially focused and high-quality legal solutions to clients across Malaysia and beyond.
